These terms apply when you use smartvincheck.com or buy a report from Smart VIN Check (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you accept them.
The English version governs; translations are provided for convenience.
What we sell
We resell vehicle history reports (CARFAX, AutoCheck) and auction records (Copart, IAAI) that we buy from a licensed data supplier. We are an independent reseller. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CARFAX, Inc., Experian, Copart or IAA, and their trademarks belong to them.
What a report can and can’t tell you
A report contains what has been reported to the company that produces it. Accidents, repairs or title events that were never reported won’t appear, and records can contain errors. A report is one input to a purchase decision, not a substitute for an independent inspection and checking the title documents. We deliver reports as our supplier produces them and don’t edit their contents.
Orders and accounts
You can order without an account. When a payment is confirmed we create an account for the email you gave, and your reports are kept there. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Card payments are taken on our payment partner’s secure checkout page; crypto payments through NOWPayments. An order is confirmed when the payment partner confirms the payment.
Credits and balance
Report credits and account balance never expire and can only be used on smartvincheck.com. They are not cash and can’t be transferred to another account. Volume discounts apply to reports paid from your balance.
Refunds
Our refund policy explains when reports, credits and balance are refunded.
Acceptable use
Reports are for your own use in evaluating a vehicle, including for your customers if you are a dealer. Don’t resell reports in bulk, scrape the site, or use it to build a competing database. We may refuse or cancel orders that look fraudulent and refund them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for decisions made using a report’s contents.
